Let’s be honest—somewhere along the way, we all became a little obsessed with Yellowstone.
Maybe it was the sprawling Montana landscapes. Maybe it was reining clips of Taylor Sheridan’s horses. Or maybe it was Beth Dutton, who somehow made whiskey in a crystal glass, a power blazer, and absolute emotional chaos look like a personality trait worth aspiring to. The Dutton Ranch became more than a television setting—it became an aesthetic. Suddenly everyone wanted cowboy boots, a truck, and a little piece of the American West. I can attest.
But what if your version of the ranch isn’t in Montana? What if it’s where salt air replaces mountain air, your boots collect sand instead of dust, and your mornings begin with horses before ending by the ocean?
That’s where the coastal cowgirl comes in. Not the internet version built around trendy hats and curated Pinterest boards, but the real one. The woman who can move effortlessly between the barn and the beach, who values grit as much as grace, and who knows luxury isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s sunrise rides, weathered leather, windblown hair, and a life built around the hustle in South Florida.

Victoria, a veterinarian who recently stepped into the world of entrepreneurship, now owns a luxury concierge veterinary practice serving an exclusive clientele throughout Palm Beach County. Her work is built on personalized, high-touch care, bringing exceptional veterinary medicine directly to the homes of the families and animals she serves. It’s a career rooted in compassion, precision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Ivana is the owner of Merak, a luxury skincare studio in Fort Lauderdale, where she has built a reputation for helping clients look and feel their absolute best through thoughtful, results-driven treatments. With an eye for detail and a passion for creating an elevated client experience, she brings the same level of care and intention to her business that she does to every other aspect of her life.
Their love for horses may look a little different, but that’s exactly what makes it so genuine. Tori spent years in the saddle, even trying her hand at jumping, developing the confidence that comes from trusting a horse over fences and through countless hours at the barn. Ivana, on the other hand, finds her peace hacking scenic trails, soaking in the South Florida landscape in both English and Western. While they are both eager to continue refining their riding and expanding their skills, they’re proof that you don’t have to chase ribbons to fall completely in love with the equestrian lifestyle.
That quiet confidence naturally carried into what they wore. So when we set out to create this cowgirl-inspired shoot, it wasn’t about playing dress-up. It was about capturing that balance—the strength, the softness, the independence, and the quiet kind of beauty that comes from doing what you love, even when life gets busy. Because the coastal cowgirl isn’t just an aesthetic. It’s a feeling. And for Victoria and Ivana, it’s something they live every time they swing into the saddle.

Tucked away on 20 picturesque acres in Southwest Ranches, Florida, White Oak Equestrian is home to a community of riders whose dedication to their horses is matched only by the beauty of the property itself. It boasts open paddocks, and beautiful well-kept horses grazing as the light slowly turned everything to gold.
Some of my favorite images happened in between the “perfect” ones. The girls climbed aboard bareback, burst into laughter when a pose didn’t quite land, readjusted, and tried again. We’d toss around ideas, scrap half of them, accidentally stumble upon something even better, and keep moving. That’s the beauty of working with horses: they’re never interested in following your shot list. They remind you—very quickly—that the best photographs are usually the ones you never planned.
Working with horses always comes with an element of unpredictability. No matter how experienced your models are, they’re still working alongside a living, thinking animal whose comfort and well-being should always come first. Every setup, every pose, and every movement was approached with safety in mind. If something didn’t feel right, we simply moved on to the next idea.
